Armed with passion and excitement, I have begun my new career with Avon. Distributing my books and email ebrochures, netted me several orders. I never go out without a brochure, some samples, recruiting flyers, pen and paper. You never know when the opportunity to talk Avon will come up. To grow my business, I realize that I must step out of the family/friend zone. To do this I have ordered extra brochures. They are truly the only cost I have to run my business. They are my store. I ordered enough to distribute to a townhouse complex and I was thrilled to have one customer register and place an order. On my books I have stickers that give clear instructions on how to do this. I find that the days of chit chatting are gone and if you can offer potential customers a way to place orders on their time, they will jump at the opportunity.
My goal is to try to get as many of my customers registered on the Avon website. I ask for email addresses and send customers invites to register. There are many bonuses to doing that.
1. Once they are registered, they are linked to you. Whenever they place an order, it comes to you.
2. My store is open to take orders 24 hours a day. Many people work shifts.
3. Statistics show that online as opposed to brochure orders are higher.
4. I don't have to drive everywhere dropping off books if they didn't have a current order to deliver.
5. I may go on vacation but I can still receive orders.
Orders are coming in but I must grow my client base. Not every customer orders from every book. Putting one book a day in a new customer's hand everyday is my goal. I hope to get 2 brand new customers orders every campaign by doing this. Being fully prepared before I go out for the day is how I do this. It doesn't take any extra time at all. All you have to do is look for opportunity when you are out doing what you normally do. Going to work, the bank, grabbing a coffee or getting some lunch. All you have to do is share.
